Virginia High School Basketball - James River tipped by Rockbridge County

The Rockbridge County Wildcats basketball team scored 67 points and held the host James River Knights to 62 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salem for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Rockbridge County will meet a Spartans team coming off a 58-43 non-league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-5.

The Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Lord Botetourt nudged Staunton (Staunton, VA), 69-56, in a non-league contest.
