The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) basketball nipped the visiting North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 49-45 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Trojans (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 2-6 record.

The Vikings now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a non-league test on Friday, January 5.
