Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats (Cowden, IL), 64-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Arcola upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Purple Riders travel to Grayville (Grayville, IL) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Grayville won 60-43 in their recent non-league bout against Farina South Central (Farina, IL)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Dieterich Movin Maroons (Dieterich, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Movin Maroons come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 58-55 non-league win over Arcola (Arcola, IL).
