The Melrose Dutchmen basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Litchfield Dragons to 47 in the Dutchmen non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Dutchmen now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concordia Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Melrose will battle a Beacons team coming off a 81-60 non-league loss to St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN). The Beacons record now stands at 3-4.
The Dragons (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, St. Cloud Cathedral ran past Concordia Academy (Roseville, MN), 81-60, in a non-league contest.
