Maine High School Basketball - Madawaska trounces Washburn

The Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) basketball crushed the host Washburn Beavers (Washburn, ME), 65-40 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Owls (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME). The Tigers go into the C North test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Fort Fairfield walloped Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME), 56-35, in a non-league test.
The Beavers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Van Buren for a D North test on Friday, December 29. Washburn will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 58-31 league loss to Easton (Easton, ME). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-5.
