The West Rutland Golden Horde basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Poultney Blue Devils to 46 in the Golden Horde league triumph on Wednesday.

The Golden Horde now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sharon Academy for a Southern Vermont - D contest on Friday, December 29. West Rutland will meet a Phoenix team coming off a 84-36 league loss to Long Trail (Dorset, VT). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-4.

The Blue Devils (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mill River (North Clarendon, VT). The Minutemen enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Mill River was routed by Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
