Citrus Valley Blackhawks (Redlands, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA), 51-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Citrus Valley upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Blackhawks host Redlands (Redlands, CA) to clash with the Terriers in a Citrus Belt bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Terriers go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Redlands lost 51-15 in their recent non-league bout against Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA)

Next up, the Aztecs clash with the Adelanto Saints (Adelanto, CA) in a Desert Sky bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Barstow will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 55-23 non-league win over Vasquez (Acton, CA).
