Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL), 42-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Havana (Havana, IL) to play the Ducks in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Havana lost 39-32 in their recent non-league bout against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL)

Next up, the Tigers play the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Beardstown will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record.
