Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH), 75-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Portsmouth upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host South Point (South Point, OH) to play the Pointers in a Ohio Valley bout on Thursday, January 4. The Pointers come into the bout with a record of 6-3. South Point won 38-34 in their recent non-league bout against Valley (Lucasville, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Waverly Tigers (Waverly, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Gallia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
