Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Huntington Locomotives (Huntington, OR), 47-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pine Eagle upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Spartans host Four Rivers (Ontario, OR) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Locomotives play the Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 42-21 league loss to Wallowa (Wallowa, OR).
