Dominguez Dons (Compton, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dominguez upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Dons host Lawndale (Lawndale, CA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Monsoons play the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves (El Segundo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Mayfair will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 64-29 non-league win over Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA).
