In Friday's non-league contest, the host Arlington Colts basketball team scored a good 54-39 triumph over the Lamar Vikings.

The Colts (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Warriors go into the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, South Grand Prairie was topped by Brennan (San Antonio, TX), 83-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Haltom Buffalos (Haltom City, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 contest, on Tuesday, December 31. Lamar will attempt to better on its 6-14 season record. The Buffalos go into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 53-42 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, TX).
