The Godby Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Crossroad Academy Scorpions to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Thomasville for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. Godby will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 42-34 non-league win over Jenkins (Savannah, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Crossroad Academy falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Scorpions host Gadsden County (Havana, FL) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4.
