The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) and the visiting Temple Academy Bereans (Waterville, ME), observed Islesboro Central's basketball team knock off Temple Academy by a score of 49-29.

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrabec (North Anson, ME). The Cobras come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Carrabec prevailed over Rangeley Lakes (Rangeley, ME), 56-16, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bereans encounter the North Haven Hawks (North Haven, ME) in a D South challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Temple Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 62-13 league loss to Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME).
