The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Kountze Lions (Kountze, TX) and the host Lipan Indians (Lipan, TX), observed Kountze's basketball team knock off Lipan by a score of 65-52.

The Lions (19-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Tatum (Tatum, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 12-1 record. In their last challenge, Tatum prevailed over Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX), 61-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Lipan will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 18-0 record after their 82-55 non-league win over Brookeland (Brookeland, TX).
