In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Marmion Cadets basketball team scored a big 65-44 win over the Ottawa Pirates.
The Cadets (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Lincoln-Way Central was trounced by Streator (Streator, IL), 60-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Ottawa will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 43-40 non-league win over Sandwich (Sandwich, IL).
