Next, the Aztecs clash with the Valencia Tigers (Placentia, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Esperanza will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 13-7 record after their 51-44 non-league win over Troy (Fullerton, CA).

The Heralds (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Village Christian (Sun Valley, CA). The Crusaders come into the test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Village Christian overcame Taft (Woodland Hills, CA), 41-33, in a non-league test.
