The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) and the visiting Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), observed Amboy's basketball team knock off Marquette by a score of 49-41.

The Clippers (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Newman Central Catholic prevailed over Mendota (Mendota, IL), 56-18, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Marquette will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record.
