The Bald Eagle Area Eagles (Wingate, PA) basketball edged the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 44-43 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Richland for a Laurel Highlands bout on Friday, January 3. Bald Eagle Area will play a Rams team coming off a 50-25 non-league win over Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Rams record now stands at 7-2.
