The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Texline Tornadoes (Texline, TX) and the host Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX), observed Texline's basketball team overcome Gruver by a margin of 42-23.

The Tornadoes (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Whiteface (Whiteface, TX). The Antelopes come into the non-league challenge with a 17-2 record. In their last challenge, Whiteface defeated Seagraves (Seagraves, TX), 59-9, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Greyhounds battle the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Gruver will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record.
