The Overton Wolverines basketball team scored 47 points and limited the host Memphis Central Warriors to 38 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wolverines now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Whitehaven for a 4A District 16 game on Friday, January 10. Overton will play a Tigers team coming off a 53-36 non-league loss to Webb City (Webb City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Memphis Central falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Memphis East (Memphis, TN) to play the Mustangs in a 4A District 16 game on Friday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 5-3. Memphis East lost 56-46 in their recent non-league game against Houston (Germantown, TN)
