North Carolina High School Basketball - Triton trounced by Seventy-First

The Triton Hawks basketball squad (Erwin, NC), was crushed 68-36 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC)

With the victory, Seventy-First advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The Falcons host Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to meet the Bears in a 3A/4A United 8 battle on Friday, January 3. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 5-4. Gray's Creek lost 49-39 in their recent non-league battle against Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC)

The Hawks now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrboro for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. Triton will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 50-47 non-league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-5.
