The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI) and the host Will Carleton Academy Cougars (Hillsdale, MI), observed Waldron's basketball team overwhelm Will Carleton Academy by a margin of 59-24.

The Spartans (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Adams-Jerome (North Adams, MI). The Rams come into the Southern Central challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, North Adams-Jerome was trounced by Jackson Christian (Jackson, MI), 60-22, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Cougars meet the Pansophia Academy Pansophia Pumas (Coldwater, MI) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 8. Will Carleton Academy will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record.
