In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers basketball team scored a good 30-21 triumph over the Chilhowie Warriors.
The Pioneers (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Northwood (Saltville, VA). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Northwood topped Castlewood (Castlewood, VA), 46-14, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Chilhowie will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
