Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ashland Oredockers (Ashland, WI), 85-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rhinelander upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Hodags travel to Medford (Medford, WI) to play the Raiders in a Great Northern bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Medford won 81-50 in their recent non-league bout against Brookfield Academy (Brookfield, WI)

Next up, the Oredockers play the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Ashland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 81-66 non-league win over Sparta (Sparta, WI).
