North Carolina High School Basketball - Holmes beaten by Bertie

In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Bertie Falcons basketball team scored a good 59-43 triumph over the Holmes Aces.

In their next game, the Falcons meet the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 match, on Tuesday, January 3. Bertie will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 63-51 non-league win over North Pitt (Bethel, NC).

With the defeat, Holmes moves to 5-5 on the year. The Aces host Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to meet the Panthers in a 2A/3A Conference 15 match on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 5-3. Pasquotank County won 53-20 in their recent non-league match against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC)
