The Brevard Blue Devils basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs to 65 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robbinsville for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Brevard will meet a Black Knights team coming off a 65-61 non-league win over Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 8-1.

The Mustangs (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Veritas Christian Academy was nudged by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 65-61, in a non-league contest.
