Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), 72-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bunker Hill upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Calhoun (Hardin, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-10. Calhoun won 57-35 in their recent non-league bout against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL)

Next up, the Miners play the Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Gillespie will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 55-50 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL).
