The Verona Hillbillies basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Cedar Grove Panthers to 28 in the Hillbillies non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Hillbillies now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caldwell for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Verona will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 64-52 non-league win over West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-0.
The Panthers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ). The Knights enter the Super Essex - Independence contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, West Essex was defeated by Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ), 64-52, in a non-league contest.
