In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Coahoma County Red Panthers basketball team scored a decisive 56-33 triumph over the West Tallahatchie Choctaws.
In their next game, the Red Panthers meet the McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 29. Coahoma County will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 6-4 record after their 56-53 non-league win over North Side (Shelby, MS).
With the defeat, West Tallahatchie moves to 2-4 on the year. The Choctaws host South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 5 match on Thursday, January 5. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-8.
