Columbian Tornadoes (Tiffin, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH), 50-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Columbian upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Tornadoes host Bexley (Columbus, OH) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Bexley won 51-32 in their recent league bout against Buckeye Valley (Delaware, OH)

Next up, the Sailors clash with the Port Clinton Redskins (Port Clinton, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Vermilion will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 67-58 league loss to Margaretta (Castalia, OH).
