The Patton Panthers basketball team (Morganton, NC), dropped 50-37 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC)
The Cavaliers now possess a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McDowell for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 29. East Burke will battle a Titans team coming off a 61-58 non-league win over Avery County (Newland, NC). The Titans record now stands at 4-7.
The Panthers (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers come into the 2A Conference 41 battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, East Rutherford dropped by Irmo (Columbia, SC), 82-36, in a non-league battle.
