George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), 57-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, George Stevens Academy upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Central (East Corinth, ME) to play the Red Devils in a C North bout on Friday, December 30. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Central lost 81-37 in their recent league bout against Dexter (Dexter, ME)

Next up, the Lynx play the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) in a C North bout, on Friday, January 6. Mattanawcook will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
