Texas High School Basketball - Granbury thwarts Georgetown

The Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX), 66-55 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Rider notched a victory over Joshua (Joshua, TX), 47-45, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Pflugerville for a 5A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, January 3. Georgetown will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 58-39 non-league loss to Anderson (Austin, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-11.
