Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), 45-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Killingly upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Redmen host Montville (Oakdale, CT) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Indians go into the test with a record of 1-3. Montville won 66-59 in their recent non-league test against Grasso Tech (Groton, CT)

The Centaurs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Griswold for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Woodstock Academy will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 62-51 league win over East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-0.
