The McConnellsburg Spartans basketball team (McConnellsburg, PA), was nudged 69-65 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Shalom Christian Academy Flames (Chambersburg, PA)
The Flames now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage Academy for a Mason-Dixon Christian battle on Tuesday, January 3. Shalom Christian Academy will battle a Eagles team coming off a 71-38 league win over Grace Academy (Hagerstown, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 7-0.
The Spartans (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Northern Bedford County (Loysburg, PA). The Panthers come into the Inter County - South battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Northern Bedford County edged Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA), 70-36, in a non-league battle.
