Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL), 61-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Woodstock North upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Thunder travel to Byron (Byron, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Byron lost 48-42 in their recent non-league bout against Galena (Galena, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Richmond-Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 86-65 non-league loss to Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL).
