The Mansfield Lions basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Chadwick Cardinals to 48 in the Lions non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Lions now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Licking for a non-league contest on Monday, January 2. Mansfield will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 54-44 non-league win over Liberty (Mountain View, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-1.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Liberty Eagles (Mountain View, MO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Chadwick will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 54-44 non-league loss to Licking (Licking, MO).
