Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) and the host Crawford Pirates (Crawford, TX), saw Salado's basketball squad overcome Crawford by a tally of 40-30.

With the victory, Salado improves its record to 14-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Thorndale (Thorndale, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Pirates confront the Rosebud-Lott Cougars (Rosebud, TX) in a 2A Region III District 17 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Crawford will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record.
