West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ), 38-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Milford upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Highlanders host Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ) to play the Patriots in a Big North - Independence bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Wayne Hills won 55-15 in their recent non-league bout against Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ)

Next up, the Spartans play the Boonton Bombers (Boonton, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. DePaul Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 53-42 non-league loss to Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ).
