Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) and the visiting East Hardy Cougars (Baker, WV), saw Robert C. Byrd's basketball squad knock off East Hardy by a count of 46-27.

With the victory, Robert C. Byrd upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV) to play the Bees in a Big Ten challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Bees come into the challenge with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Cougars play the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. East Hardy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 55-42 non-league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WV).
