The Long Lake Central Lakers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Johnsburg Central Jaguars to 16 in the Lakers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Lakers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chazy for a Section 7 Mountain and Valley II contest on Wednesday, January 4. Long Lake Central will battle a Eagles team coming off a 43-39 league loss to Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

The Jaguars (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Placid (Lake Placid, NY). The Bombers enter the Section 7 Mountain and Valley II contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Lake Placid was routed by Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY), 36-26, in a non-league contest.
