The Roosevelt Mustangs basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Kimball Knights to 24 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pinkston for a 4A Region II District 13 contest on Friday, January 6. Roosevelt will battle a Vikings team coming off a 64-43 non-league win over Joshua (Joshua, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 11-9.

The Knights (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Fightin' Indians come into the non-league contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Jacksonville prevailed over Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX), 48-31, in a non-league contest.
