The McMinn County Cherokees basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Sequatchie County Indians to 25 in the Cherokees non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cherokees now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sequatchie County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. McMinn County will battle a Indians team coming off a 35-33 non-league win over Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Indians record now stands at 7-7.
The Indians (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences was defeated by Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN), 45-28, in a non-league contest.
