Texas High School Basketball - Sands knocked off by Sudan

The Sudan Hornets basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Sands Mustangs to 40 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hornets now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olton for a 2A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Sudan will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 54-34 league loss to Hale Center (Hale Center, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-12.

The Mustangs (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Meadow (Meadow, TX). The Broncos enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record.
