The Brookland Bearcats basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Blytheville Chickasaws to 41 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Thursday.

The Bearcats now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley View for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Brookland will battle a Blazers team coming off a 64-63 non-league win over Westside (Jonesboro, AR). The Blazers record now stands at 8-5.

The Chickasaws (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR). The Redskins come into the 4A Region 3 contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Pocahontas was defeated by Quitman (Quitman, AR), 49-40, in a non-league contest.
