Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL), 70-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brimfield upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Indians host Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Prairieland bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Cuba/Spoon River Valley won 44-38 in their recent non-league bout against Midwest Central (Manito, IL)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Calvary Christian Academy Knights (Normal, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 61-41 non-league loss to Hiawatha (Kirkland, IL).
