The J.P. Stevens Hawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting East Brunswick Bears to 29 in the Hawks league triumph on Thursday.

The Hawks now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ewing for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. J.P. Stevens will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-1.

The Bears (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Jackson Memorial was routed by Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
