Virginia High School Basketball - Fort Chiswell crushes Grayson County

Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 55-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Chiswell upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Pioneers travel to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to clash with the Maroons in a Mountain Empire bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 5-1. George Wythe lost 96-95 in their recent non-league bout against Mentor (Mentor, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 54-46 non-league loss to Radford (Radford, VA).
