Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA) and the visiting Harmony Area Owls (Westover, PA), saw Purchase Line's basketball squad overcome Harmony Area by a tally of 69-56.

With the victory, Purchase Line improves its record to 1-10 on the campaign. The Red Dragons host Homer-Center (Homer City, PA) to confront the Wildcats in a Heritage challenge on Monday, January 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Owls confront the Curwensville Golden Tide (Curwensville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Harmony Area will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Golden Tide come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 56-43 non-league loss to Clearfield (Clearfield, PA).
